Pumpkin was originally cultivated in various regions of Arab Iran and India. Cultivation of pumpkin in Europe was done in 1536 AD, then seeing the usefulness of this vegetable, it started to be cultivated all over the world. So Allah Ta’ala overshadowed him with a pumpkin, according to tradition, and covered his body with pumpkin vines and leaves, because the body of Sayyiduna Yunus, peace be upon him, was in a very delicate condition at that time, and medical experts say that pumpkin But if insects and flies do not come, it keeps the body temperature normal and is also useful in fever.

First of all, I will tell you the blessed hadith about pumpkin.

Hadith:

Hazrat Anas bin Malik (RA) narrates that a tailor invited the Prophet (PBUH) to eat what he had prepared for him (PBUH). It was narrated by Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that I also went with him to the feast of this meal. Prepared meat was brought I saw the Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he used to find and eat pumpkins from all around the bowl. Hazrat Anas (RA) says that I started liking pumpkins from that very day. In another hadith, it is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was very fond of eating pumpkin salad during the pumpkin season. On one occasion, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, O Aisha, when you cook handi, add a lot of pumpkin to it because it soothes a troubled heart.
Medical experts of the 4th century Hijri, among whom the name of Bu Ali Sina,  Musa bin Khalid and Hussain bin Ishaq are prominent. These experts say about the benefits of pumpkin that we are surprised how many benefits this vegetable has that it can cure many diseases. Pumpkin curry is effective in many diseases, for example, it is best for people suffering from nervous diseases. Due to its efficacy, it is especially used for gastrointestinal disorders.

Benefits:

Restful sleep:

People who do not sleep in summer and have dizziness should use pumpkin seeds because pumpkin seeds contain a juice called serotonin which leads to restful sleep. Serotonin is considered by medical experts as a natural sleep medicine. Pumpkin seeds are also rich in tryptophan, an amino acid that increases the production of serotonin, resulting in calmer and better sleep. Eating a few pumpkin seeds before going to bed can help you sleep better despite a tiring routine.

Intensity of thirst:

Finely grind the pulp of the pumpkin and squeeze out a little water and dissolve it with two tolas of misri in one cup of plain water. Drinking two tolas at small intervals is useful in severe thirst.

Headache:

Headache is a worldwide problem and the sufferer is unable to do anything. To get relief from headache, take the pulp of pumpkin as required and apply it on the forehead.

Relief from Jaundice:

Haemorrhoids and bloody diarrhea:

Take the pumpkin peel as required and dry it in the shade and grind it finely and keep it. The medicine is ready. In the morning and in the evening, take six tablets to one tola with fresh water. After two or three days of use, haemorrhoids will stop bleeding. It is also an excellent remedy for bloody diarrhea.

Pumpkin seeds help balance blood sugar levels. They are also said to be beneficial for diabetics, blood pressure and high cholesterol patients. Pumpkin seeds should be consumed as a snack on a daily basis.

Cardiovascular diseases:

Pumpkin seeds contain antioxidant good fats and fiber that are very beneficial for heart health. Due to magnesium and monosaturated fatty acids found in pumpkin seeds, blood pressure is also balanced.
